Compassionate Care

At SagePoint, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) are designed and operated by licensed clinicians who bring both deep clinical expertise and genuine compassion to every aspect of care.

Semi-Intensive Support

SagePoint’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provide a balanced level of care that is more supportive than traditional weekly therapy while remaining flexible enough to fit into everyday life.

Stigma-Free Environment

We believe that healing thrives in spaces where people feel safe, respected, and free from judgment. At SagePoint, reducing stigma is at the heart of our program.

About SagePoint Behavioral Health: Compassionate Care & Expertise

SagePoint Behavioral Health was founded by Caroline Bentley, LMFT, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over two decades of experience in the behavioral health field.

As a licensed mental health professional, Caroline knows that true healing happens in environments built on empathy, compassion, and clinical excellence. With years of clinical experience, she recognized the need for a different kind of treatment center—one built with a clinician’s insight, where compassion and integrity guide care for both clients and staff. The “business side” can be learned, but the heart of this work comes from years of sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments and understanding what it really takes to foster recovery.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Our FAQs are designed to give clear, straightforward answers about our programs, therapies, and approach to care. Whether you’re wondering about treatment options, scheduling, insurance coverage, or what to expect during our Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Programs, this section provides helpful information to guide your decision. We believe in transparency and want you to feel confident and informed as you take the next step toward recovery.

What is the benefit of IOP?

There are many benefits to attending an IOP. Research shows that treatment can be highly effective when you are able to live at home, continue with your job or school, and practice the new skills you are learning in real life. Additionally, IOP is much less expensive than residential or hospital admissions.

A PHP is a form of mental health treatment that offers a higher level of care than what is usually provided in psychotherapy. PHP can be in-person, virtual, or a combination, depending on the person’s needs and the program availability. PHP is often considered an intensive outpatient treatment approach to avoid hospitalization, as it provides increased support for mental health needs. PHP can also be recommended as a next-level treatment option for those who are being discharged from the hospital, as a form of step-down support.

There are many different modalities and approaches used to treat mental health and substance use disorders. At SagePoint IOP, our therapy approach is designed in alignment with evidence-based and trauma-informed models, which seek to not only address underlying issues, but provide clients with the skills and tools to more successful navigate their lives and relationships. The interventions offered include DBT, CBT, MI, Mindfulness, Harm-Reduction principles, trauma-informed care, and Matrix Model.

It’s easy! Contact us at 916-896-1061 or email us at: info@sagepointbh.com

There are many different mental health conditions and situations where a PHP might be the most beneficial, including anxiety and depression, substance use disorder, or eating disorder support.

PHP is often recommended for individuals transitioning down from inpatient care or those needing more support than traditional outpatient therapy, but who do not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization.

Some mental health conditions treated in partial hospitalization programs include:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Substance use disorder
  • Eating disorders
  • OCD
  • Trauma
  • Suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviors
