SagePoint Behavioral Health
Evidence-based treatment programs for mental health and substance use disorders – helping individuals build coping skills and lasting stability.
Care That Supports Every Step of Your Recovery
Finding the right balance of structure, compassion, and flexibility can make all the difference in your healing journey. Our programs combine clinical expertise with a welcoming, judgment-free environment, giving you the tools and support needed to build lasting stability and confidence.
At SagePoint, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) are designed and operated by licensed clinicians who bring both deep clinical expertise and genuine compassion to every aspect of care.
SagePoint’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provide a balanced level of care that is more supportive than traditional weekly therapy while remaining flexible enough to fit into everyday life.
We believe that healing thrives in spaces where people feel safe, respected, and free from judgment. At SagePoint, reducing stigma is at the heart of our program.
SagePoint Behavioral Health was founded by Caroline Bentley, LMFT, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over two decades of experience in the behavioral health field.
As a licensed mental health professional, Caroline knows that true healing happens in environments built on empathy, compassion, and clinical excellence. With years of clinical experience, she recognized the need for a different kind of treatment center—one built with a clinician’s insight, where compassion and integrity guide care for both clients and staff. The “business side” can be learned, but the heart of this work comes from years of sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments and understanding what it really takes to foster recovery.

Our treatment approach integrates proven, evidence-based therapies designed to address both mental health and substance use challenges. Clients benefit from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness practices, and the Matrix Model with relapse prevention strategies. Each method is applied with compassion and clinical expertise to promote self-awareness, build resilience, and support lasting recovery.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of mental health treatment that has demonstrated effectiveness for a range of problems including, depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders, and co-occurring mental illness.
Motivational interviewing (MI) is a therapeutic technique used to increase a person’s motivation for recovery and commitment to long-term change.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is highly effective in substance use disorder treatment as it strongly recognizes the link between addictions and trauma. DBT is essentially a combination of behavioral therapy and mindfulness practice. The word dialectic refers to the synthesis of two opposites
Mindfulness is frequently defined as “paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally”. By learning to simply observe, describe, and participate in one's experiences, as well as practicing non-judgment, we are able to better to experience any given moment with greater equanimity.
The Matrix Model is an integrative and comprehensive treatment model used to address substance use behaviors and their impact on a person’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. It’s combination of proven, evidence-based interventions are used in a collaborative way between client and therapist.
ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals build psychological flexibility. Instead of avoiding difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT teaches acceptance, mindfulness, and values-driven action. By focusing on what truly matters, participants learn to reduce the impact of distress and create a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

There are many benefits to attending an IOP. Research shows that treatment can be highly effective when you are able to live at home, continue with your job or school, and practice the new skills you are learning in real life. Additionally, IOP is much less expensive than residential or hospital admissions.
A PHP is a form of mental health treatment that offers a higher level of care than what is usually provided in psychotherapy. PHP can be in-person, virtual, or a combination, depending on the person’s needs and the program availability. PHP is often considered an intensive outpatient treatment approach to avoid hospitalization, as it provides increased support for mental health needs. PHP can also be recommended as a next-level treatment option for those who are being discharged from the hospital, as a form of step-down support.
There are many different modalities and approaches used to treat mental health and substance use disorders. At SagePoint IOP, our therapy approach is designed in alignment with evidence-based and trauma-informed models, which seek to not only address underlying issues, but provide clients with the skills and tools to more successful navigate their lives and relationships. The interventions offered include DBT, CBT, MI, Mindfulness, Harm-Reduction principles, trauma-informed care, and Matrix Model.
